Shaving and irritation
Shaving and skin irritation is not a nice thing for us guys. It knocks your self confidence when you have a flare up of redness and in some cases spots. Over-shaving can really damage our epidermis.
Shaving with a blunt razor is a big no no and quite often this causes your skin to become inflamed and irritated.
How to soothe and recover
Using a Moisturiser is probably the best way to soothe and nourish the skin. Try splashing cold clean water on the shaved area, pat dry then apply your moisturiser. Splashing the face with aftershave also is a thing — what my Dad did after shaving. Well, it's to close the pores and kill the bacteria.
Remember: the epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin. The thickness of the epidermis varies depending on where on the body it is located — at its thinnest on the eyelids, measuring just half a millimeter. So treat it gently.
