Sulphates (SLS/SLES)
Harsh cleansing agents that create foam but can strip the skin of its natural oils. We use gentle, natural alternatives.

Fact SheetWhat is Sulphates (SLS/SLES)?
Sulphates, primarily Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), are strong detergents commonly used to create lather in washes and shampoos. While effective at removing dirt, they are too aggressive for facial skin, aggressively stripping away the natural lipid barrier. This leads to dryness, irritation, and a 'squeaky clean' feeling that actually causes the skin to overproduce oil to compensate.
